James. Acosta, 84, died on October 16 at his home. Interment was at Twin Oaks Memorial Park in Artesia. Acosta was born on May 25, 1915, in Ruidosa, Tex., to Nicasillo Acosta and Jesus (Dominguez) Acosta. He married Martha Urias on June 15, 1935, in Barrancos de Guadalupe, Mexico. She preceded him in death on February 4, 1981. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. He is survived by sons Candelario Acosta of Hobbs, NM, and Rosalia Acosta, Domingo Acosta, Merejildo Acosta and Jose Acosta, all of Artesia; daughters Manuela Marquez and Santos Yrigollen, both of Artesia; brother Matillas Acosta of Hobbs; 28 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
