He attended school in Carlsbad for most of his life before enlisting in the Navy. He was preceded in death by both parents and a brother, James A. Hahn. He lived in Carlsbad until eight years ago when he moved to Hobbs, NM, and then to Denver City, Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Glodie Joyce Hamblen in 1983. He joined the Navy on March 31, 1942, and served in the SeaBees. He met Zelda Francis Jarrell in Webster Springs, W.V., and they were married March 13, 1945. In 1953, they moved to Carlsbad. He was a retired Baptist minister and was ordained October 18, 1964, in Carlsbad. He ministered in Carlsbad at La Huerta Baptist Church, Happy Valley Baptist Church, Calvary Baptist Church and Standpipe Road Baptist Church. He also ministered in Dell City Baptist Church, Dell City, Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife on October 27, 1999; his parents; two brothers, Eldridge Harrison and Jake Harrison; and a sister, Rebecca Snyder, all of West Virginia. He graduated from Texas College of Mines and Metallurgy (UTEP) in 1941 as a mining engineer. He served as a captain in the USAAF in Indonesia and China. He was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters. The couple moved to Artesia and lived there until his death on January 6, 1952. She returned to Carlsbad. She lived in Carlsbad and El Paso, Texas with her daughter, Norma Webb. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and Elks BPOE #43. She is survived by two sons, Clyde B.
