Walker, 88, died at a Toomesboro hospital. She was a native of Iowa, the daughter of the late Barney Skrenska and the late Mary Kuskowska Skrenska and had lived in Artesia. Walker was preceded in death by her husband William Davis Walker. She is survived by a son, Sam Walker of Milledgeville, Ga.; and daughters Mary Burella of McAllister, Okla., and Susan Walker of Colorado. *************************************************************** The following excerpts were taken from page 10 - The Artesia (NM) Daily Press - December 30, 1999 WALL Services are December 31, at First United Methodist Church for Betty P. Wall of Artesia. Wall died on December 29 at her home with her family at her side. Interment will be at Woodbine Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her daughter, Kristi Lynne. She married Henry L. Wall on June 23, 1946, in Roswell, NM. She and Henry moved to Artesia in 1955. She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, Henry, of Artesia; and sons Robin G. Wall, wife Barbi Burrows-Wall, and Randy Wall, all of Albuquerque, NM. She was preceded in death by her parents J.W. White of Amarillo. White, 78, died January 15 in Amarillo. Burial will follow at Llano Cemetery in Amarillo. White married Foster White in May of 1968. He preceded her in death. Wilcox, 80, died on January 23 at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis, NM. She was born on August 11, 1919, in Crowell, Texas, to William Yearl Grimlan and Ellen C. (Gray) Grimlan. She married Curtis A. Wilcox on October 6, 1973, in Bellflower, California. He preceded her in death on September 20, 1991. She came to Artesia in 1932 from northern New Mexico and moved to California in 1959. She moved to Melrose 25 years ago. She was a Methodist. She is survived by sisters Lorene Smith of Amarillo, Texas, Mattie Crenshaw of Melrose and Jo Conner of Artesia; sister-in-law Ceigal Grimlan of Artesia; and numerous nieces and nephews, including Connie Conner, Perry Conner, LaVerne Gressett and Jean Ingram, all of Artesia. She was born April 9, 1924 in Wanette, Okla., to Thomas and Margie Settles Gibson. She married Frank O. Wilson on August 15, 1955, in Carlsbad. He preceded her in death. She had been a resident of Roswell for the past 50 years. Survivors include a son, Darryl W. Wilson; daughters, Bonnie M. Allen and Mary R. Martin; brother, Leroy Gibson; sister, Stella M. He then attended the University of Colorado, graduating in 1931 with a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering. He lived in California from 1962 to 1980. He married Frances Joy Foster on June 16, 1938, in Carlsbad. Survivors include his wife of the family home; sons, William E. "Bill" Wilson and Dr. Jon Page Wilson of Bay Area, Calif.; daughters Claire Brandenburg of Taos, NM and Stevia Shaw of Denver, Colo.; and six grandchildren. She was born July 7, 1911, in Ireland, Tex., and moved with her family to Artesia in 1929. Survivors include sisters Molly K. Barker and Jimmy E. Collier both of Artesia; brother George F. "Tony" King Jr. of Artesia; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents Leota E. and George King Sr.; son George Frank Wingfield; and husband Edward F.
