DALLAS - Rick Davis, 45, of Dallas, beloved husband, son, brother, uncle
and friend, passed away suddenly from a brief illness on Feb. 6, 2005.
Services were held Saturday Feb. 12, 2005, in Dallas. He was born in Peoria,
Ill. He attended Carlsbad High and graduated from Frankfurt International
School in 1978, Germany, and later received his B.S. from the University of
Texas-Dallas.
Rick was president and CEO of Davis Technologies International, an
advanced suspension system technology company. His dedication and strong
commitment made him a driving force in the advancement of vehicle
mobility and stability technologies.
He is survived by his loving wife, Michele; parents, Leo and Angie Davis of
Dallas; sisters, Debi Davis of Washington, D.C., Chris Neatherlin and
husband, Jimmy, of Carlsbad, and Laura Taylor and husband, Tony, of
Dallas; nephews, James and Michael Neatherlin; nieces, Erin Till, Katherine
and Christina Taylor; and countless friends.
Rick will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. He was well known
for his wonderful sense of humor and loving and compassionate heart. He
always made time for friends. He could take any situation in life and make
you laugh about it.

with the Rev. Craig Cockrell and the Rev. David Whiteman officiating.

She died Monday, Feb. 21, 2005, in Andrews, Texas. West Funeral Home is

Grace Elizabeth Giblin was born Sept. 4, 1955, in Leavenworth, Kan., to
William E. and V. Anne Terry Cline. Beth grew up in Colorado, where she
developed a love for the outdoors. She always loved to be outside enjoying
God's scenery. She married John T. Giblin on Aug. 12, 1978, in Reno, Nev.
Throughout her life, she lived numerous places including Arizona, Idaho,
California, Texas and New Mexico. She traveled all over the world
including Turkey, Australia, Hawaii, Germany, Italy, France, and all over
the continental United States. She loved history and visiting places where
the
history would come alive.
Beth was devoted to education, for herself and for her students, whether they
were preschool, middle school, high school or college aged. Beth earned a
B.S. in human services in 1993, an M.S. in education in 1994, an M.E. in
counseling in 1999, completed 67 percent of her doctorate degree, and
received her administrative license in 2004.
Beth began her teaching career at a preschool in Stephenville, Texas, in
1994. She started teaching family and consumer sciences at a middle school
in Joshua, Texas, in 1995. Her family relocated to Carlsbad in 1997, where
Beth was the director of Girl's Inc. She began her counseling career in 1997
at several elementary schools in Carlsbad. After she completed her degree in
counseling, she moved to the high school to work as a counselor from 1999
until 2004. This was her first year as assistant principal at Carlsbad High
School. She also taught education and psychology classes at New Mexico
State University at Carlsbad and at College of the Southwest. Beth was
involved in many organizations and received many honors during her life
including National Dean's List, Alpha Chi College Honor Society, Kappa
Delta Pi Education Honor Society, Heights Lions Club, First United
Methodist Church Praise Team and bell choir, Pecos River Valley Emmaus
Community, Carlsbad AWARE Program, National Honor Society, AAUW,
Habitat for Humanity, Grace Fellowship Church, ASCA, NMSCA,
NMACF, AAFCS, TAFCS, telephone counseling, Sunday school teacher,
parent organizations for her own children, Girl Scouts of America, and many
more.
Beth is most remembered for her high energy and contagious spirit. She
loved fixing up her house and yard; it was her "therapy." She could
read five
books at a time and still read her Bible and devotions daily. She was the
busiest woman in Carlsbad, but she always put her family first. She touched
many lives and will be greatly missed.
Beth was preceded in death by her father, William E. Cline; and daughter,
Shauna Giblin. She is survived by her husband, John; one son, Christopher
Giblin and wife, Amanda, of Grapevine, Texas; three daughters, Trudi
Arnold of Green Bay, Wis., Nicole Young and husband, Jerry, of Carlsbad,
and Stacy Giblin and fiancé, Kit Klein, of Durant, Okla.; mother, Anne
T.
Grieb of Stephenville, Texas; four brothers, Chet Cline of Moe, Australia,
John Cline of Granbury, Texas, Robin Cline of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada,
and James Cline of Granbury, Texas; two sisters, Ellen Cline of Mans,
Belgium, and Laura Ross of Battle Mountain, Nev.; and three grandchildren,
Keiten and Caleb Giblin and Carter Saler.
Pallbearers are John Cline, Robin Cline, James Cline, Chris Giblin, Jerry
Young and Kit Klein. Honorary pallbearers are Beau Saler, Patrick Giblin,
Dan Giblin, Tim Giblin, Martin J. Giblin, Martin W. Giblin, Tom Quintela,
David Fuller, Ron Sanders, Israel Palma, Paul Trone, Gavin Stucky-Mack

Mrs. Beanblossom passed away Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005, at Carlsbad
Medical Center. Denton-Funchess Funeral Home is in charge of
arrangements.
Dovie Guilliams was born March 16, 1916. She married Charles
Beanblossom on Jan. 2, 1933, in Weed. They celebrated their 72nd wedding
anniversary last month. She was a member of First Assembly of God
Church. Dovie enjoyed gardening and especially growing roses.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Monroe and Eliza Jane
Guilliams; brother, Willie Guilliams; and sisters, Eulah Davis and Bess
Bennett. She is survived by her husband, Charles G. Beanblossom of the
home; daughter, Betty Handley and husband, Mabry, of Mundelein, Ill.;
brother, Russell Guilliams and wife, Louise, of Carlsbad; sisters, Belva
Potter of Carlsbad, and Delphia Evitt of Highlands, N.C.; grandchildren,
Garry Wayne Handley of Mundelein, Ill., and Shelda Dobson and husband,
Terry, of Hainesville, Ill.; great-grandchildren, Kristin and Keri Dobson;
and
numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are J.C. Estes, Darrell Miller, Virgil Chester, Dan Helt, Jack
Giles, Don Devers and Terry Baker.

CARLSBAD - A funeral for Edward J. "Ed" Davis, 65, formerly of North
First Street, is set for 2 p.m. Thursday at West Funeral Home Chapel with
the Rev. Bobby Fuller of Blodgett Street Baptist Church officiating.
Interment will follow in Sunset Gardens Memorial Park. Friends may call
noon to 8 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to service time Thursday at West Funeral
Home.
Mr. Davis died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2005, at Del Sol Medical Center in El
Paso. Arrangements are by West Funeral Home.
Edward Joe Davis was born Jan. 22, 1940, in Barstow, Texas, to C.R. and
Hazel R. Yarbro Davis. The family moved to Carlsbad in 1942 and raised
and educated their sons here.
Ed had been employed as an offshore oil rig painter in the Texas gulf for
many years, returning to Carlsbad in 1981. He enjoyed football (was an avid
Dallas Cowboys fan) and TV. He had been residing in El Paso, Texas, for
the last year.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, George Robert
Davis and Roy Dean Davis. He is survived by his wife, Betsy; son, James
Paul Davis; daughter, Robin McCarley and husband, Mike; grandchildren,
Joshua, Jeremy and Kayla; his twin brother, James M. Davis of El Paso, and
several nieces and nephews.
Music will be provided by niece, Sally Davis. Pallbearers are John Ballard,
Arnold Davis, Leon Durr, Ron Galbraith, Fred Loya and Paul A. Lucy.
